Another vampire game, play by post 20th anniversary rules with elements from the 5th edition plot line Set in the fictional city South Chester. Why a fictional city?
" It’s always a tough choice to go with a fictional setting instead of a real world city. The negatives are obvious: you have to fill that world; no one has connection to it; it’s only as real as you make it. But there are of course positives as well: you’re free of existing metaplot, everyone is on a relatively even playing field, and there’s room to grow. Populating a map is hard, so don’t consider the board and it’s sub-forums as they exist at launch as static and exhaustive. Those forums will likely expand as the game grows and evolves. And if you don’t see anything that sounds like what you’re looking for? Talk to staff about it, and where required we can flesh it out together. Think of it as an opportunity to help shape the game in yet another way."
Game has recently re-booted and looking for more player, welcoming Camarilla, Anarchs and ghoul/revenant characters.
South Chester City
Southchester by Night takes place in the fictional city and county of Southchester, New York. This is a land mass occupying much of what in real life is Sandy Hook/Rariton Bay, New Jersey, and occupies a total land mass of approximately 65 square miles, and a population of 1,420,516 (population density of 21,854/square mile), Soutchester displaces Dallas as the 9th largest city in the US, just narrowly behind San Diego. Southchester is divided into four districts: Southchester City, Cortland Island, Farragut and Mascahonett. While Soutchester County was part of New Jersey, as an extension of the lawsuits that saw Liberty Island declared part of New Jersey rather than New York, further boundary disputes resulted in Southchester County being ruled part of New York in 2008. Continuous legal battles leave it up for debate whether this will remain the case, however.
Southchester City: Population - 620,000; The heart of the county, Southchester is a thoroughly modern city, with a booming downtown of skyscrapers, filled with businesses. Southchester benefits greatly from the proximity of New York City, and it's industry is heavily tied to that city. Southchester was a historically Camarilla domain, until a massive Sabbat siege in the 1940s. While the Camarilla managed to fend off the crusade (largely because the Sabbat's true aim turned out to by New York itself), the draconian methods employed by the Camarilla at the expense of its neonates resulted in a revolt against the elders shortly after the siege ended. In 1942, the entire county officially was no longer part of the Camarilla, and was now an Anarch Free State. This state of affairs remained until 2009, when a massive group of Sabbat, having shaken the yoke of their own elders and abandoning the Gehenna Crusade, again laid siege to Southchester. Taking advantage of the chaos, the Camarilla shifted considerable assets to leverage the chaos, and seized control of Southchester in 2010 and held it for ten years before renewed conflict with the Anarchs drew the attention of the Inquisition. The resulting purge left the city virtually empty of Kindred
Mascahonett: Population - 400,000; The true heart of the remaining Anarch Free State until the Purge, Maschonett has been Anarch for nearly 80 years without break. The district is a mix of lower density residences, being as large as Southchester city geographically, and is predominantly middle class. Mascahonett holds the beaches and the non-commercial waterfront, Mascahonett is relatively young and thriving.
Farragut: Population - 280,000; The main battleground in these nights. Farragut holds much of the industry and dockyards in Southchester, and was Anarch controlled until 2011. In the wake of the Sabbat Crusade, Kuei-jin attempted to gain a foothold here. The local Anarchs, alongside those of Mascahonett, managed to repulse the Mandarin incursion, but their strength was effectively shattered. Farragut has remained largely empty of Kindred since.
Cortland Island: Population - 120,000; Separated from the rest of the county by bridge, Cortland houses a still fairly robust commercial fishing industry.
