An odd mage rote that those with W:tA might find interesting is that a Prime 5, Spirit 5, Life 5 effect can counteract the Gaia's Vengeful Touch rite, the Rite of the Stolen Wolf and the Rite of the Shattered Soul. At the ST's discretion, this effect will remove the rite's effects and with Time 5, will protect against future rites. Not that the Garou in question has any want to go back. If a Garou is lucky enough to have an ally of this strength and has one of those rites performed on him. The mage could counter the rite. The Spirit and Life spheres are needed to affect werewolves. The Spirit sphere will remove the effects of the rite itself and bring the Garou into the Umbra. The Life sphere will heal any wounds from the Spirit effect and the GVT rite. The Prime sphere will refresh the Pattern of the Garou, wiping away the stain on his soul.
The Mage needs a single success for each sphere but rolls against a difficulty of nine. A botch subjects the mage to the effects of the rite in question. This is a highly vulgar rote and needs to be performed in the Umbra at a Node. This rote essentially rebuilds the Garou. He loses access to all gifts and his Gnosis is reset to its basic level. On the plus side, he'll live longer as his Pattern has been rebuilt. He can then live out his life as a ronin or become a BSD.
